Early morning transfer to Cusco Station. Now leaving Cusco on board a Tourist Bus, today’s about a 10-hour guided journey to Puno. Visit Andahuaylillas Church to see the beautiful portrayal of Peruvian Baroque in the interior. Heading south you’ll wander around the adobe-made Inca ruins of Raqchi and the Pucara village, known for its popular clay bulls or “toritos”, a symbol of protection and prosperity. Don’t miss witnessing beautiful, wild llamas and alpacas in their natural habitat along the way. The bus will stop on La Raya, the highest point of the tour for unique views over the Altiplano. In Puno meet a View Peru host and transfer to the hotel for the evening.

Let’s know the longest, the deepest, the most spectacular navigable lake in the Andes Mountains that join two Latin American countries
From Puno main Deck, let’s start with a private speed boat sailing the Lake, which is famous for being the highest navigable in the world. It is also said to be the place where the Inca Empire was first founded, according to the Legend. Our first stop is Uros, a beautiful archipelago consisting of more than 300 small Islands made out of Totora reed. 1 or 2 meters thick, each one takes its inhabitants up to 1 year to be completed!
The boat tour then leads us to Taquile Island, for a unique display of traditional costumes and traditions. Here you’ll have lunch prepared by the locals and savor the products grown in the area. Follow an exploration of the Island and finish witnessing how skilled weavers are elaborating their beautiful ornaments and clothing. When the afternoon arrives, it is time to return back to the port and transfer to your hotel.

Today you will cross the frontier borders between Peru and Bolivia via the Copacabana route, a town lying at the shores of Titicaca Lake on the Bolivian side. Making your way to our next destination, the altiplano plateau raises on a beautiful landscape. In Copacabana, you will have a visit to its famous church that holds the same name, and it’s also the shelter of a miraculous virgin, receiving many Catholic pilgrims all year. Up next, you’ll move to Yampupata to sail on a private boat towards the enchanting Sun Island where the first Inca Manco Capac is said to be born. The island is known for the Titi Qala and Q’asa Pata ruins, and even a beach!
From Copacabana, the trip continues traveling for another 3 hours across the Altiplano road to La Paz City.

After breakfast, it’s time to visit La Paz’s bustling city. The visit will take you to the famous “Mercado de las Brujas” or Witch Market, a place to track down countless products, artifacts, ointments, and remedies, used by the local shamans in the practice of their ceremonies.
Continue with Plaza Murillo at the center of the city. Pass by The Cathedral, Government Palace, the National Congress, and follow a stroll along the streets filled up with colonial-style buildings and museums. Heading east, make a transition into modern La Paz to see the residential district of Obrajes, Calacoto, and La Florida. And to finish, you’ll explore the Moon Valley, consisting of rock monoliths carved by wind erosion for over centuries. Named by the famous Neil Armstrong, these rocks give the area a sensational look. Take in the hights of La Paz retuning via the panoramic Cable Cars. Free afternoon.

This special day will take you to enter to one of the most extreme and remarkable vistas in all of South America, if not Earth
Travel by plane from La Paz to Uyuni town. The Uyuni Salt Flats are worldwide famous since they are the biggest on earth. Covering an area of more than 11,000 kilometers, you can even put a small country here! First up is the nearby Train Cemetery, abandoned in the late 1940s after the mining collapse. Drive continues to Colchani, for shopping crafted products and Uyuni merchandising. Heading up to the Salt Flats, you’ll visit its north side to watch the spectacular Tunupa Volcano, home to mummies that lay at the skirts.
From here, take the uphill walk to reach the first lookout to marvel at the panoramic and endless Salt Lake and Volcano. At Coquesa village you’ll visit a museum home to stone animals called Chantanis. The rest of the day is to capture endless fun pictures and watch the sunset on a surreal spectacle over the Flats. Live and enjoy the most fascinating views on the planet, with very bright and star-filled nights
After an early wake, watch the sunrise over the whitening Salt Flats as you warm up with breakfast. You will visit the salt pyramids and the well-known first salt hotel. Then set out on a drive right to the middle of the Flats to see the famous Incawasi Island that hosts the gigantic Cacti, and where you’ll take a 45-min hike to the summit for priceless views over the flats. Although this tour is designed for the dry season, the display in the rainy season is totally worth it, as the overflooded flats reflect the sky as a mirror. You can take part in the popular night walks for mind-blowing stargazing on the south constellations only seen from this part of the planet.
Afternoon return to Uyuni, and private transfer to flight back to La Paz. Once there a View Peru host will take you to your hotel. To achieve this itinerary, we recommend taking the Amaszonas flight 309 back to La Paz. Consult our specialist for an airfare quote.
