Led by a knowledgeable English-speaking guide, enjoy a private tour through Lima. This experience will offer a fresh perspective on Peru’s dynamic capital, whose historic center has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991.

Your journey begins in Lima’s colonial heart, where you’ll explore architectural treasures such as the Cathedral, the Main Square, and the hauntingly beautiful San Francisco Catacombs. As you walk through these storied landmarks, you’ll uncover the layers of history that continue to shape Peru’s national identity.

The tour then transitions to the contemporary side of the city, taking you through the elegant, seaside district of Miraflores, known for its upscale ambiance, cultural relevance, and lively atmosphere.

Your final stop is the acclaimed Larco Museum, home to one of the most comprehensive collections of pre-Columbian art in the world. After immersing yourself in Peru’s ancient past, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at Café Larco, where traditional flavors meet a relaxed, picturesque setting.

Following your tour, you will be transferred to the airport for your afternoon flight to the gorgeous city of Arequipa.

Day 4 Arequipa To Cusco (L, D)

After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll be picked up in private transport and taken to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Welcome to the high Andean city that was once the ancient capital of the Inca Empire!

Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly greeted and privately transferred to your hotel in the heart of Cusco. Sitting at 3,399 meters (11,152 feet), the city’s altitude makes acclimatization essential. Stay hydrated, take it slow, and try a cup of coca tea (an age-old remedy for altitude sickness).

Spend the afternoon wandering Cusco’s colorful streets and take a stroll to the main square, just steps from your ideally located hotel. Enjoy a taste of the region’s renowned cuisine and rest up for the exciting adventures that await tomorrow.

In the afternoon, visit the impressive Inca ruins of Ollantaytambo, once a strategic military, religious, and agricultural center. Wander its still-inhabited streets and admire the massive stonework.

As the sun sets over the lake, enjoy the tranquil beauty of the Amazon. On your return to the lodge, you may even spot nocturnal creatures that emerge as night falls.
