Nothing but AMAZING!
I’ve travelled the world and have used numerous tour companies for private tours. View Peru is among the best! Working closely together with Milton, one of their trip planners, I knew I was in for a fantastic and safe trip even before departing. As a solo traveller, this was important to me.
With them I did a Cusco city tour, Machu Picchu and climbed Rainbow Mountain. My tour guide for Machu Picchu was quite informative, funny and knew all the best spots to take pictures. LOVED Machu Picchu! Don’t forget to take your passport with you to get it stamped when you leave!
My tour guide for the Cusco city tour and the hike up Rainbow Mountain was beyond INCREDIBLE! Luis is not only very knowledgable, but went above and beyond what is expected of a tour guide. During my stay in Cusco, I got very ill and had to be hospitalized. What could have been a very frightening experience as a solo traveller, Luis made things easy for me. He called and visited me many times in the hospital. As language was a bit of a barrier, he would translate for me and made sure that I understood exactly what was going on. I should also note here that all the staff at the hospital were pretty great too!
While I was in the hospital, I had activities planned. Milton had taken care of rescheduling everything and I didn’t need to worry about a thing.
After being released from the hospital and given the all clear to climb Rainbow Mountain, Luis took me on the hike up. I was still somewhat slow and sluggish from being hospitalized, but Luis was patient and attentive the entire way. I couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide!
After Peru I went on to Uyuni, Bolivia to see the salt flats. View Peru was my tour company there as well. Once again, I had a private tour and my tour guides were awesome. So was lunch in the middle of the salt flats!! Jesus, one of my tour guides had great photography skills too, so that helped a lot especially in a place like that.
All and all, I can’t sing enough praises for View Peru. So glad I used them. And the day I go back to Peru (because Peru is that amazing) I will definitely be using them again!
